Mix it up with mixed patterns like Whitney Port

July 25th, 2010

Admitting she’s a tweet-and-blog-aholic, Whitney Port spoke to WWD yesterday in advance of tonight’s The City season finale. While she didn’t address rumors that this is the final season of her The Hills spin-off reality series (say it isn’t so!), there’s good reason to believe she’ll let her fans know what’s up as soon as a decision’s made.

She says her favorite social media mediums are “My Twitter @whitneyeveport and my blog, www.whitneyport.celebuzz.com. I update them several times a day,” she said. “It was really important for me to be in touch with my audience and fans. I love being able to hear their feedback and share all the exciting stuff that I get to do day to day with them.”

Whitney attended the Canadian awards ceremony last month in a Moschino dress straight from the runway. But you don’t have to find a dress that does the mixing for you, this is actually a pretty easy look to replicate if you’re really careful about the patterns you choose. Or don’t! This look is obviously not about matching. Try a strapless top, floral skirt and a scarf tied around your waist like I’ve put together below. mixed pattern outfit.jpg
